Cross Country Solid in Opening Race

EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern opened the 2017 cross country season with a solid showing versus a strong regional field, posting a ninth place finish at the UCO Land Run on Saturday morning in Edmond, Okla.

SE finished with 241 points in the 5K race, topping conference foe Southern Nazarene and finishing just behind another conference opponent in Arkansas Tech.

The Savage Storm was paced by Rebekah Christman who turned in a 19:57.65 in her first race of the year which was good for 24th individually in a 107-runner field.

Skye Summers crossed next for SE in 44th place with a mark of 20:28.83.
