STEPHENSVILLE, TX. – Henderson State used an impressive .388 attack percentage to beat Mayville 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-17), Saturday at the TexAnn Invitational in Stephensville, Texas.Kamra Jacksonrecorded 16 kills and committed just two attack errors to end with a .500 hitting percentage, whileCourtney Bolftotaled 9 kills.Reddie setterSariah Boneycollected 19 assists in the match withDanika Daumadding 13.In the opening set, Henderson built a commanding 20-9 lead with the help of a 9-1 run behind the serving of Jackson andGigi Garramone. Jackson and Bolf combined for 12 kills in the set to lead the Reddies.Henderson continued the onslaught in set two as the Reddies had a .440 team attack percentage, committing just two errors. Leading 2-0, the two teams traded points early in the third set before Henderson took control late, going on runs of scoring four straight points twice behind the serving ofZuzana Ondruskovaand Boney. Jackson had seven kills in the final set with Ondruskova having five winners.Henderson State began the day with a 3-0 loss to Rockhurst, losing 25-22, 25-13 and 25-21.Bolf recorded a double-double 14 kills and 16 digs, whileViolet Williamsadded 9 spikes.LiberoSydney Skeltoncollected 18 defensive digs in the match with Boney having 19 set assists.The Reddies finished 2-2 in the two day tournament with Bolf having 37 kills and 53 defensive digs in the four matches, while Ondruskova totaled 34 and Jackson 33.Boney finished the tournament with 90 set assists and 34 defensive digs, while Daum had 52 assists and 16 digs.Henderson will next travel to Ada, Okla. to face Langston on Thursday with first serve set for 5:30 p.m.
