Eagles' fast start to season hits speed bump against OBU

OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 7, 2017) – Feeling upbeat about their first 2-0 start to a season since 2013, the Oklahoma Christian Eagles had their balloon popped by a longtime rival on Thursday.

Oklahoma Baptist took advantage of a pair of defensive errors to score two first-half goals and milked that advantage the rest of the way for a 2-1 win over OC at the Eagle Soccer Field.

OC (2-1) outshot the Bison (1-0) by a 12-11 count and controlled the possession for a majority of the game, but never broke through OBU's defensive back line. The Eagles' only goal came in the 20th minute, on a blast from...
