The Alva Board of Adjustments will hold a regular meeting Monday at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of the municipal building. The board will reorganize with a vote to elect a chairperson.

They will consider two requests for variances of zoning requirements in the city. Mark Lester Burkes has asked to increase the lot coverage to allow for a 14 foot by 40 foot carport and to reduce the setback of the carport from the alley from five feet to three feet. The property is located at 1712 Oak St. in the Petermann Addition.
