Cross country runs strong at SWOSU

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Northwestern Women's Cross Country team took to the track Saturday at the SWOSU Open where they competed in a 5K race. The Rangers walked away with a fourth-place finish as a team. Northwestern had four runners finish the race in the top 20.

Kayla Gourley led the way for Northwestern, clocking a time of 21:04 and earning herself a ninth-place finish just two seconds behind the first-place finisher.

Much like last week, Kendy Salinas was right behind Gourley, striding across the line at a time of 22:05, which would put her in 15th place.
