Men's Cross Country Tops D2 Field at Southern Stampede

JOPLIN, Mo. – The Rogers State men's cross country team finished second overall and was the top NCAA Division II team at the Southern Stampede on a hot Saturday morning (Sept. 16). RSU placed three in the top 20 to earn the second spot overall to NCAA Division I Wichita State.

RSU totaled a score of 120 points to finish second in a field of 27 teams, including nationally ranked Missouri Southern (No. 12) and West Texas A&M (No. 16).

The Cats were led by senior Baylor Harvey with his time of 24:29.87 in the 8-kilometer race. He was second overall to Mark Shaw of Oklahoma City.
