The Alva Ladybugs softball team lost to 3A Chisholm 13-0 Thursday night in Alva. After losing several really good players to graduation, the Ladybugs are working on rebuilding their experience and confidence.

“It’s been kind of rocky,” Coach Margo Hamilton said. She said the young team is still prone to making mistakes but they are really trying.

The district match-up with Newkirk is coming up Thursday with games scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. To win, a team has to win two games. If the wins are split Thursday, they will play again Friday at 1 p.m. The games will be held in Newkirk....
