SAN ANGELO, Texas –SWOSU Soccer saw its three-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday, falling to Angelo State 4-2 in the final non-conference game of the season for the Bulldogs.

The four goals allowed ties for the most scores the SWOSU defense has conceded in a single game this season, dating back to the season opener against Central Missouri when they also allowed four. The Rams outshot SWOSU 19-15 including 9-6 on goal.

The Bulldogs jumped ahead of ASU with an early 1-0 lead thanks to aMemory Phirigoal just five minutes into the contest, but would be the only time they led all afternoon. The Rams would answer, scoring the tying goal and then the go-ahead goal before halftime.

In the second half,Alimata Raboscored the equalizer in the 50th minute off a corner kick set up byLauren Williams. Angelo State answered again to retake their lead in the 73rd minute and added an insurance goal with seven minutes to play.

SWOSU (3-2) will now shift focus to its Great American Conference schedule and will host rival Northwestern on Tuesday in Weatherford at 3 pm.
