RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – University of Arkansas at Monticello football defensive back Jeremy Jackson has been selected as the Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week after the Weevils took down East Central this past week.

Jackson, a senior, recorded six total tackles in the 49-7 win in Monticello, Arkansas, and added three passes deflected as well.

The Hahnville, Louisiana native provided his biggest play of the game midway through the fourth quarter as he intercepted an ECU pass and was able to run it all the way back to the Tiger end-zone for the defensive touchdown.
