RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – East Central University cross country junior Larry Filer has been named the Great American Conference Runner of the Week for Sept. 20.

In his first race of the fall, Filer bested the other 28 GAC runners at the Southern Stampede when he finished 24th in a time of 25:32.69. He ran his fastest time by more than nine seconds out of his three times competing at the event.

Filer finished as the top runner for the Tigers for the first time in his career. ECU finished 16th at the meet....
