Student, 15, arrested for making false threat online

FLOWOOD, Miss. (AP) — Authorities say a high school student in Mississippi made a false social media post that included a photo of another student warning he was armed, dangerous, and threatened the school.

News outlets report the 15-year-old could face up to six months in jail after being charged with disseminating threatening information on Wednesday. It's unclear if the teen has a lawyer.

The Rankin County Sheriff's Office and Flowood police say the post went viral regarding a possible threat at Northwest Rankin High School.
