Alva Gun Range security upgraded

BancCentral President Kyle Hughbanks accepts the thanks of the city for a donation to the Alva Public Gun Range at Monday's meeting.

The Alva Public Gun Range has been upgraded to provide better security and safety for those who use it. A local bank is paying for a large portion of the security upgrade. The gun range, located on city land, has been built primarily with donations, grants and volunteer labor.

Alva Fire Chief Kirk Trekell has been involved with the range since its beginnings. He expressed appreciation to BancCentral Financial Services Corp. for the $6,092.85 donation in equipment and labor.
