Alfalfa County to upgrade security system

The Alfalfa County commissioners voted to extend the number of days a video is stored on their storage server until it is overwritten. At present, about a week's worth of video is stored. If someone falls or is injured, and later sues the county, it is likely any video evidence of the incident will be overwritten.

By spending $20,000 for a larger server, Alfalfa can store up to 90 days of video. The entire project will cost $45,000 and will change out and move some cameras so more area is covered.
