KDH 4th Annual Jeans and Gems, Saturday, Oct. 7
• Enjoy gourmet cheeses and smoked prime rib dinner
September 27, 2017
If you love smoked prime rib, visiting with friends, admiring art and other unique items, but most of all supporting your local health care, mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 7.
It's time for the 4th Annual Jeans and Gems event in Kiowa, Kansas. Friends of the Kiowa District Hospital and Manor Foundation holds this fundraiser to generate funds so they can help Kiowa District Healthcare. Foundation President Judy Schrock said the money raised will help purchase needed equipment and the ongoing effort for expansion of KDH's very busy and too small physical therapy department.
The evening begins at 5:30 at Kiowa's Community Building. You'll have time to peruse the silent auction items while enjoying gourmet cheeses and adult beverages, if you like.
Schrock said a few of the items donated so far for the live auction include an Earl Kuhn painting, a Rock Haven Spa package, Pioneer Woman Bus Tour tickets, a handcrafted large jewelry holder and much more.
The tickets, $70 for a pair or $40 for one, entitle the holder to a smoked prime rib dinner.
Following the live auction, Austin Graves will provide music for all those who want to enjoy the after-party.
Tickets are available at KDH or Small Town Tees and Gifts on Main Street.
