Career Tech training returning to BJCC

Warden Becky Guffy told the Bill Johnson Correctional Center (BJCC) Advisory Board some welcome news. The facility will soon be offering vocational training to offenders. Instruction will be in heating, air conditioning and plumbing. Only those at BJCC for longer sentences will be enrolled due to the training time involved.
Those who complete the course will have logged 480 hours and will have their apprenticeship cards. Guffy said the program will be offered to delayed sentencing inmates.
The Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education is advertising for an instructor at BJCC....
