Alva Cross Country girls take first at Cherokee

The Alva High School cross country team did well at the Cherokee meet Saturday, Sept. 16. The Alva girls team won first place. From left were Donminic Minjares, Payton Jones, Jaedyn Gleyre, Rachel Bratton, Priscila Samaniego, Mia Walker, RayRay Bell, Acacia Charles and Brandon Bellah.

The Alva High School cross country team did well at Cherokee on Sept. 16. The girls team placed first overall. RayRay Bell brought home an individual first place and Priscilla Samaniego placed sixth. Medaling in the top 25 were Payton Jones, Mia Walker, Rachel Bratton and Jayden Gleyre.

Both Brandon Bellah and Dominic Minjares medaled in the top 25 in the boys division.

The team will be competing on Sept. 30 at Watonga and Oct. 7 at Chisholm....
