2nd-half rally falls short in Lady Eagles' loss at Newman

WICHITA, Kan. (Sept. 30, 2017) – Down four goals at halftime, Oklahoma Christian didn't quit on Saturday afternoon, and as a result, the Lady Eagles threw a bit of a scare into Newman (Kan.).
OC cut Newman's sizable lead in half – with Lauren Parker playing a key role in both scores – before the Jets answered with two late goals for a 6-2 win at Wilkins Field.
Karen Tamayo had two goals and an assist for Newman (7-3-1, 4-2-1 Heartland Conference), while Rosa Urista-Chico added a pair of goals for the Jets. Chanie Scrivner scored her first career goal for OC (1-9, 0-7).
