Dustdevils use 2nd-half goals to beat OC

LAREDO, Texas (Sept. 30, 2017) – Alan Rivera scored a pair of second-half goals, one on a penalty kick, to lift Texas A&M International past Oklahoma Christian 2-0 in a Heartland Conference men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at Dustdevil Field.

OC (3-5-1, 1-4-1 Heartland) and TAMIU (4-2-2, 3-2-1) battled on even terms for most of the match before the referee awarded the Dustdevils a penalty kick after an OC foul in the 53rd minute. Rivera converted the kick to put TAMIU ahead.

With OC scrambling for an equalizer, Rivera instead sealed the win for TAMIU, scoring off a feed from Aaron Alvra...
