Oklahoma transportation plan delays 40 percent of projects

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma transportation officials have approved a new construction plan that calls for postponing more than 40 percent of all projects due to state funding cuts.
The Oklahoman reports the Oklahoma Transportation Commission approved the new eight-year plan Monday in response to $840 million in state funding cuts over the last seven years. It calls for $6.3 billion in federal and state transportation funding.
Officials say the plan delays construction of 620 projects. Forty construction projects also have been removed from the plan.
