Sunday, Oct. 1, was honored as World Communion Sunday at the Freedom United Methodist Church. The order of services was:

Prelude by Janell Reutlinger

Call to Worship led by Shirley Wagner

Hymn “Have Thine Own Way Lord” led by Debra Brown, song leader

Opening Prayer led by Lori Louthan

Scripture: Matthew 1:23-32 The parable of the Father who tells his son to go to work in the vineyard and the son says he will go but then does not. The Father goes to the second son and tells this son to go to work in the vineyard. This son says he will not go but then changes his mind and does go.

Children’s Lesson led by Pastor Paul McDowell

Sermon by Pastor Paul titled “Where Did You Get That?”

Affirmation of Faith

Gloria Patri

Hymn of Justifying Grace “The Lord of the Dance”

Joys and Concerns: Remember all those on our prayer list. Pray for those who have been in fires, hurricanes and earthquakes. Also, continue to pray for our country and our world.
