October 5, 2017

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - For the second consecutive week and third time this season, Peerada Piddon has been named the Great American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Piddon earned a first-place finish in just her fourth tournament as a Golden Sun, winning the UCO RCB Bank Classic in Edmond, Okla. on Tuesday. Piddon opened the tournament with a 1-over-par 72 on Monday, but a tournament-best and career-low score of 67 (-4) on Tuesday moved her into first place by two strokes. Piddon finished the tournament 3-under-par, leading Arkansas Tech to third place.

Piddon, a junior from Bangkluay, Thailand, has placed in the top ten in all four events this fall. She and the Golden Suns will participate in their fifth and final event of the fall season on Monday, Oct. 9. The two-day UCM Invitational will be held in Warrensburg, Mo.
