Fallin appoints Tulsa County judge to criminal appeals court

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Gov. Mary Fallin has named a former prosecutor and longtime Tulsa County associate district judge to a vacancy on the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.
Fallin announced late Wednesday the appointment of Judge Dana Kuehn to the post left open following the retirement of former Judge Clancy Smith.
Kuehn has served as judge in Tulsa County since 2006. She previously served seven years as a Tulsa County prosecutor.
Fallin says Kuehn has a reputation for being "fair, respectful and courteous," and also noted her support of alternatives to prison for nonviolent offenders.
