Golden Suns claim first place finish at Ozarks International

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech cross country team put together another outstanding performance as the Golden Suns took home a first place finish at the Ozarks Invitational Saturday morning in Clarksville.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Tech notched a first place finish, as the Golden Suns had five runners place in the top ten.

Aubre Gilreath led the way for Tech with her best finish of the season, placing third with a time of 20:15.

Logan Edwards, Cami Hedstrom and Mallory Morris finished in fifth, sixth and seventh with times of 20:27, 20:30 and 20:43

Lauryn Doublet rounded out thefinal score for the Golden Suns as she finished tenth with a time of 20:57.

NEXT UP

The Golden Suns will run in their final race before the GAC Championships next Saturday at the Arkansas-Little Rock Invitational. That race is slated to start at 8 a.m. at the Rebsamen Golf Course in Little Rock.
