Alfalfa County commissioners accept election printing bid
October 11, 2017
In its Tuesday morning meeting, the Alfalfa County Board of Commissioners started its meeting off by opening 12-month election bids. There were only two letters received: one from the Mid-West Printing Company and the other from Tulsa County. Tulsa County respectfully declined to bid, stating that they do not print outside of Tulsa County. Mid-West Printing's bid was between .15 and .17 cents per ballot, depending on the ballot size. The board voted to accept Mid-West Printing's bid.
Next, the board approved the previous meeting's minutes, M & O warrants for payment, and the monthly officer's reports, as well as a correction on the board's reasoning for awarding the bid on the cascade system for Helena Rescue on Oct. 2. The board had previously stated that the bid accepted was the lowest bid, but corrected that statement to say the bid accepted was the lowest bid with a warranty.
A price adjustment from Uni-First of a $7.31 increase, amounting to $95.68 , which was tabled from last week, was accepted, before moving on to the next agenda item, in which the board chose and approved Circuit Engineering District Eight, overseen by Program Manager Donnie Head, to complete the County Bridge Inspections. The final order of business for the board was the review and acceptance of the Board of Trustee's proposed amendments to the bylaws and articles of association of the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma Self-Insured Group and Self-Insured Fund, which consisted of minor wording and date changes.
