The time has finally arrived that the new generator and the old generator for the City of Kiowa will be tested to make sure everything runs smoothly. Kiowa City Administrator Lou Leone said this Thursday, Oct. 12, at 11:30 p.m., the power to the city will be disconnected. This is as crews begin testing the generators and connections to the substation. Testing will run until 2 a.m. Friday morning. Leone said the best way to test the units is to add the full city load to them. Once this is completed successfully, Leone said they'll do follow-up training for the entire department....
