A new physician is now accepting appointments at Share Medical Center. Benjamin Hicks, MD, is a general practitioner and will accept appointments for all ages of patients.

Dr. Hicks attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry, minoring in Spanish language and graduating magna cum laude in 2003. As an undergraduate, Dr. Hicks enjoyed working as a teaching assistant in the chemistry department and volunteering with the Oklahoma Adopt-a-School program.

Dr. Hicks then attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He studied during his senior year at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and graduated medical school in 2007. Dr. Hicks trained in internal medicine at the University of Mississippi and in nuclear medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, completing his residency training in 2015.

When he's not working, he enjoys playing golf and basketball. He's also a fan of OU football and the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team.
