Funeral services for Connie Sue Hada will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the Town and Country Christian Church with Pastor Paul Cole and Jay Tyree officiating. Interment will be in the Preston Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Connie Sue Hada, daughter of Bobbie Jean (Estes) Graves and the late Boyd Leroy "Tarp" Graves, was born March 6, 1949, at Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away October 15, 2017, at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 19 days.

Connie started school in Waynoka, completed the eighth grade at Farry, and graduated from Alva High School. On August 24, 1968, she was united in marriage to Timothy Daniel Bodenschatz at Alva. To this union two daughters were born, Jennifer Renee and Tanya Dawn. She worked as a waitress at the Sirloin Stockade, as a clerk at TG&Y, and as a cook at the Alva Public School system. She also owned and operated an in-home daycare.


On July 6, 1984, she was united in marriage to Harold Allen Hada at Alva. Connie was a member of the Town and Country Christian Church. She enjoyed macrame and working with ceramics. She also liked to play bingo and dominos. Her family was an important part of her life and she always kept up on her grandkids and their activities. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Graves.

Connie is survived by her husband, Harold, of Enid; two daughters, Jennifer Hess and husband, Scott, of Alva, and Tanya Franklin and husband, Glenn, of Enid; her mother Bobbie Graves of Enid; two brothers, Roger Graves and wife, Jeanette, of Alva, and Michael Graves and wife, Myra, of Calumet; four sisters, Carolyn Beagley and husband, Steve, of Enid, Donna Koehn and husband, Jerry, of Enid, Jan Graves of Goultry, and Pat Ritter and husband, Jack, of Enid; five grandchildren, Rhett and Riley Hess, both of Alva, and Xavier, Xcell, and Xon Franklin, all of Enid; one sister-in-law, Coy Graves of Amarillo, Texas; other relatives and friends.
