Pickup, train collide near Carmen

A man was in critical condition after his pickup was hit by a train near Carmen Tuesday morning. Benjamin Snook, 41, of Headrick was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in critical condition with head, internal and external trunk injuries.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Snook was driving a 2013 Chevrolet pickup on County Road 530, 300 feet south of Coal Road, at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17. The location is 1.5 miles north and two miles west of Carmen in Alfalfa County.
