Library planning escape room program

Community involvement is being encouraged at the Alva Public Library. The staff is looking at programs that will benefit and involve community members of all ages.

Director Sandra Otte-Hamilton told the library board Tuesday that her staff is working on an escape room program to be held soon. Teams compete to see how quickly they can escape from a locked room using clues provided inside the room.

Hamilton said the clues will be geared to the library and books. They plan to divide the downstairs auditorium into two rooms so two teams can enter simultaneously. They are anticipating the contest w...
