Women's Soccer Gets Road Win at Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Harding women's soccer team defeated Ouachita Baptist 6-3 Tuesday in Great American Conference action.
Harding improves to 6-8-3 overall and 5-5-1 in the GAC
Ouachita Baptist falls to 3-11-1 overall and 3-8-0 in the GAC.
It was the most goal Harding has scored in a game since last season in Searcy when it defeated East Central 6-4.

Harding 1, Ouachita Baptist 0 – 9th minute – Morgan Springbornfound Emma Welch for her first career goal.
Harding 2, Ouachita Baptist 0 – 33rd minute – Sierra Phillips found the head of Bethany Sutherland for her 14th goal of the season.
Harding 2, Ouachita Baptist 1 – 37th minute – Bryson Thomas converted a penalty kick.
Harding 3, Ouachita Baptist 1 – 44th minute – Melanie Matkins scored off a deflection by the Ouachita Baptist defense.
Harding 4, Ouachita Baptist 1 – 72nd minute – Bethany Sutherland found Morgan Proffitt for her second goal of the season.
Harding 4, Ouachita Baptist 2 – 72nd minute – Kasey Smith found the back of the net.
Harding 5, Ouachita Baptist 2 – 78th minute – Bethany Sutherland picked up second assist of the game when she found Melanie Matkins for her second goal of the season and of the game.
