WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Men's Basketball opened up their 2017-18 slate of games with a 83-77 exhibition victory over Mid-America Christian. Four players ended in double-figure scoring led by Charles Beauregard, Jr. with 21 points.

In a close game throughout, the Dawgs found themselves trailing by one at the break 35-34. SWOSU opened up to a 21-12 lead at the midway point of the first half, but MACU settled in and would go on a run to get back in the mix. SWOSU shot 37.9% through the first 20 minutes, compared to 42.9% from their counterpart.
