Tigers Win Thriller at Henderson

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Baptist volleyball team (16-10, 7-6 GAC) won a thriller Halloween night at Henderson State (11-14, 4-8 GAC), downing its rival in five sets – 17-25, 25-17, 18-25, 25-21, 16-14.
Kori Bullard capped off the night with a match-winning ace in the fifth frame. The senior also led the Tigers with 16 kills. Paige Williams and Anna Lee Drennan both closed out the match with 12 kills apiece.
Stormi Leonard and Nikki Clay led all players with 51 assists and 33 digs, respectively, while Adrianna Nolly finished with a team high four blocks.
As a team, Ouachita tallied 61 kills on a .181 hitting percentage. The Reddies, meanwhile, finished with a .153 hitting percentage and accumulated 56 kills.
The Tigers also defeated the Reddies in five sets earlier this season and now hold a 13-1 record against Henderson State, dating back to the 2011 season.
Ouachita will continue conference play this Thursday, Nov. 2 as the team travels to Arkansas-Monticello for a 3 p.m. match.
