Plans for a new arena in Alva are moving along, but board members have hit a snag in finalizing design plans. Trustees of the Alva Arena Authority met Tuesday, Nov. 7, at noon. Mike Hood said the Design Committee interviewed two possible candidates to act as design consultants.
"We are stuck on the design phase," said Hood. He explained that none of the trustees has ever designed an arena installation before. The committee was impressed with both of the men interviewed. One was a rodeo specialist and the other had overall arena design experience.
