The Oklahoma House of Representatives took several positive steps last week to fill the $215 million shortfall facing three state health departments. House members passed five bills last week which take care of nearly three-quarters of the funding gap.

Four of the bills tapped into our state’s Rainy Day Fund and carryover money from Fiscal Year 2018. These funds are intended to help to fill the funding hole of the Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services, the Department of Human Services and the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.
