Airport board to discuss future improvement plans

The Alva Regional Airport Commission will be looking at the federal capital improvement plan (CIP) for 2019-2023 during their Monday meeting. The commission will meet at 7 p.m. at the airport.

The CIP calls for the airport to bank funds for fiscal year 2017 to prepare for future construction. The 2018 project is to reconstruct the south apron. Taxiway and apron geometry will account for 2019 through 2022.

The committee will discuss and act on plans for installation of new signage for the airport entryways. There will also be reports from the airport manager and from city council....
