BETHANY, Okla. — Nate Walker and Daniel Ramos IIIcombined for 225 of Southern Nazarene's 335 yards rushing in a 34-28 loss to Oklahoma Baptist to close the 2017 season.

The 335 yards pushed the Crimson Storm over 2,000 yards rushing for the first time in a single-season in program history and set a school record for rushing in a season with 2,111 yards.

Both backs scored a touchdown each as Walker ran for 114 yards and Ramos ran for 111 yards. Jacob Spadyalso ran for 103 and a touchdown. Spady threw for a touchdown as well as he passed just nine times for eight yards. Two of his three completions went to Devan Brady who had the touchdown reception.

The Crimson Storm (4-7, 4-7 GAC) gave up 428 yards of total offense as the Bison (2-9, 2-9 GAC) ran for 170 yards and threw for 258. Myles Roll had a career-high 13 tackles with four coming for a loss of seven yards. Derrick Carmouche also had six tackles and a 47-yard interception return that eventually set up an SNU touchdown on the next play.

Southern Nazarene played from behind most of the night. Oklahoma Baptist struck first with 8:09 left in the first to lead 7-0, but Southern Nazarene tied it three minutes later when Ramos capped a 6-lay, 52-yard drive with a 12-yard run. The Bison took a 14-7 lead with 9:38 left in the half and then made it 17-7 with 50 seconds left and carried that lead into the locker room.

The Bison pushed it to 20-7 early in the third, but SNU cut it to 20-14 with 10:24 left in the third on a Spady 58-yard run. The Bison answered with 7:04 left in the third to lead 27-14, but SNU answered right back with 2:49 in the third when Spady hit Brady for a 6-yard pass after Carmouche picked off a pass and ran it down to the OBU 6-yard line.

OBU got another touchdown late with 6:35 left to play to take a 34-21 lead, but the Storm didn't go away. Nate Walker finished off a 60-yard drive on the sixth play to make it 34-28 with 4:26 to play. On the ensuing drive Oklahoma Baptist got stuck on its own 34 with just one yard to go, but on fourth down got a huge 31-yard gave in and then added another first down in SNU territory and that was enough to run out the clock.

It was the first win in school history for Oklahoma Baptist over Southern Nazarene.
