The Eagle Times: Thanksgiving
November 16, 2017
Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States, Canada, some of the Caribbean Islands, and Liberia.
In 1621, Thanksgiving came to be when the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared a fall harvest feast, which lasted three days. Thanksgiving is not just about eating turkey and getting fat; it is about celebrating the United States and giving back. In the U.S. we celebrate Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday in November, but in Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated the second Monday in October. Thanksgiving will be on Nov. 23 this year. Have fun, eat stuffing and give back!...
