SNU opens conference play at 2-0 with 59-49 win over UAM

BETHANY, Okla. — For the first time under head coach Derek Dorris, Southern Nazarene starts the season 2-0 in Great American Conference play as it defeated Arkansas-Monticello 59-49 Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (2-0, 2-0 GAC) have opened the season with back-to-back wins inside the Sawyer Center as they overcame an 18-point deficit in the first half. They held the Blossoms (2-2, 1-1 GAC) to just 17 points in the second half and 21 percent shooting.
