Santa Claus is coming to town Saturday, Dec. 2. Alva businesses have been preparing for his visit with a frenzy of decorating and stocking shelves with gift ideas.

Originally, plans included a movie premier and afternoon parade, but Alva’s big win over Adair last Friday changed all that. The Alva Goldbugs will play Millwood in the Class 2A football semifinals in Enid Saturday night. With fans heading out for the 7 p.m. game, the Alva Chamber of Commerce decided to move up some events and delay others.
