Oklahoma health officials say 2 people die due to influenza

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Health officials say the deaths of two people due to influenza are the first flu-related deaths in Oklahoma this season.
The state Department of Health said Thursday the two deaths were recorded between Nov. 22 and Nov. 28 and that both were patients over the age of 65. Oklahoma health officials say a total of 105 influenza-associated hospitalizations have been reported across the state since the current flu season began on Sept. 1.
