Rosary for Philipp E. Ring was at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary. Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alva, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Philipp E. Ring, 88, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017, in the Harry Hynes Hospice Center, Wichita, Kansas.

On August 21, 1948, Phillip was united in marriage to Ladonna Berry at Hardtner, Kansas. During their early years they moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he worked at Boeing as an electrical planner and raised their family.

His heart, however, was always at the farm and he did move back in 1974 to the family farm just north of Alva, Oklahoma. There he worked for Woods County with heavy machinery until his retirement. In 2011 due to illness they returned to Wichita, Kansas where he lived out the remainder of his life with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antone and Rose Ring; wife, Ladonna Ring; sons, Anthony Ring, George Eldon Ring; grandson, Aaron Ring.

He is survived by his daughters, Anita (James) Craddock, Catherine Miller Ring, both of Wichita; son, Leo (Kim) Ring of Eureka, Kansas; sister, Zita Getz; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
