On her first day in Alva after arriving to serve as NWOSU's Artist in Residence, Christine Aria was exploring the campus and found her way to an abandoned room on the fourth floor of the Jesse Dunn building.

She said, "I wandered up there by accident. It is an amazing room that hasn't been touched in years as evidenced by the cracked plaster. I asked the administration, 'Can I show here,' and received permission."
