Hot Shooting Propels Fort Smith Past Henderson 76-60

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Arkansas-Fort Smith got out to a hot start on Tuesday night by shooting 65.6 percent in the first half and never looked back, as it led from start to finish to defeat Henderson State 76-60 in the Duke Wells Center.

The Lady Lions opened the game on a 10-0 run which they then extended out to 26-9 late in the first quarter. Two 3-pointers from Haleigh Henson in the last minute of the period helped Henderson cut the deficit to 29-15 after one, but Fort Smith did not let up in the second and stretched its lead to 47-30 at the break.
