Reddies Show Solid Effort in Loss to Arkansas State

Henderson State put forth a valiant effort but Arkansas State was able to pull away late in the first half as the Red Wolves beat the Reddies 90-76 in exhibition men's basketball, Saturday in Jonesboro, Ark.

The Reddies, 4-4 on the season, led by as many as seven points in the first half as Henderson opened the game with three straight 3-point field goals by Josh Jones, Kaylon Tappin, and Tanner Hamilton.

Henderson led until a Deven Simms long-range jumper at the 3:48 mark to put Arkansas State 32-29, a lead the Red Wolves would never relinquish. ASU finished the half with a 9-0 run to build a...
