BJCC has inmate count of 544

Warden Becky Guffy told the Community Advisory Board Tuesday noon that when she came on board three years ago the prisoner count at Bill Johnson Correctional Center (BJCC) was 767. That large number led to the demise of many of the training programs. The DOC has now lowered the count down to 544 with the goal of restoring those programs. She said the number was recently lower than that but has been creeping upwards, particularly with the contract cancellation in Oklahoma City of Catalyst Behavioral Services.
