The Burlington FFA hosted its second annual Burlington Tree Lighting on Monday evening, Dec. 18. The event was held in the Purple Park at 5:30 p.m. with cider, hot chocolate and cookies provided by the Burlington branch of Alva State Bank. Santa was able to make an appearance to talk to the children and take pictures with them. The FFA officers told the Christmas story from the Bible and led the crowd in singing Christmas carols as the tree lights were lit....
