A local resident has made a donation to encourage development of an indoor soccer program in Alva. Monday night the Alva City Council accepted the donation as part of the city budget. Steven Barrows, a former soccer coach, has donated $755.56 of equipment to the Kids and Cops program.

Donated items delivered to the Alva Recreation Complex are two pop-up goals, one junior-size ball, one adult ball and twelve scrimmage vests. The equipment will outfit two teams.
