Library plans for new children's activities

The Alva Public Library is looking to the future with new activities for children. Library Director Sandra Ott-Hamilton told the library board Wednesday that two Code-a-pillars have been purchased. These learning toys are designed to teach preschoolers early skills aimed at coding (writing programs for computers). The caterpillar-shaped toys feature segments that are connected in different combinations so the toy will perform different actions.
