Alva man sought on drug charge

A warrant has been issued for a man from Alva following a search and seizure from his residence. Ramon Domonique Readus, 19, of Alva has been charged with distribution of controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), a felony. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for two years to life or a fine of up to $20,000 or both.

On Nov. 13 Alva Police Officer John Caviness set up a controlled drug purchase from Readus through a confidential informant (CI). According to court records, Caviness recorded the conversation of the CI in the purchase of 3 to 3.5 grams of marijuana at the Readus residence.
