ALVA, Okla. – Lane Scarbrough intercepted a pass at half court en route to a wide open layup just five seconds into the Alva High School boys game against Blackwell on Tuesday. The Goldbugs never looked back as they moved to 6-1 with a 44-33 victory over the Maroons.

Both the Bugs and Maroons will take part in the 49th Annual Wheat Capital Tournament starting on Thursday in Enid. Alva takes on Perry in the second boys game of the day at 2:30 p.m. Kingfisher and Fairview tip off the boys action at 11:50 a.m., while Chisholm plays host to Blackwell at 5:10 and Woodward matches up with Pond...
